Agility classes are casual, so you can attend any week and miss others.
St Ives Fridays 9.45am (Beginners)
For Beginners Agility classes there are no prerequisites for your dog but they should be social with people and other dogs. If not talk to us! We also recommend they are 6+ months of age as young dogs should wait until then to start jumping. Class is held on:
- Fridays 9.45am in St Ives – St Ives Showground, Mona Vale Road, St Ives. Dog ring #7.
Beginners Agility Classes
These are ongoing classes where you just can drop on any week and have a bit of fun with your dog. Although the classes are fun, it’s also great for your relationship with your dog and gives you and your dog a great outlet for excess energy and saves going to the gym.
- We teach foundation exercises to get the best start into agility and trick training.
- We show you how to teach your dog to navigate jumps and race through tunnels and how to teach a trick or two.
- And we will have fun playing with these new skills.
- $35 per session. Book 9 classes get the 10th free: $315
- Wet weather plan: Amy will post an update on the Goodog Positive Dog Training Facebook page in the morning if class is cancelled and reschedule you to the next week.
What To Bring: Lots of yummy treats for your dog! Goodog recommends Prime 100 (pet shop), Chunkers (Coles and Woolworths) or bring your dogs favourite food with you. Please do not feed your dog before class. Sunscreen, a hat, enclosed shoes and a good sense of humour for the humans!
Note: Flat collar and/or harness with lead only. No slip leads or aversives such as e collars or prongs are welcome in any Goodog class.
