Combo: Loose Leash & Trick Training Workshop
Do you want your dog to walk nicely on a leash, ignore distractions and focus on you rather than all the other interesting things out there? We show you in a fun way how to train your dog to enjoy leash walking in our loose leash walking workshop.
Trick training is a great way to improve your relationship with your dog and have some fun. We teach some basic tricks like take a bow, spin, weave through legs, then move to targeting, picking up specific items and how to close a door or turn on a light.
Goodog teaches dog workshops on either Wednesday evenings 5–7pm at Terrey Hills Scout Hall, or Thursday afternoons 1–3pm at Terrey Hills Girl Guides. Workshops are scheduled every few months when there is enough interest, so if there is no course scheduled or you’d like to know about future workshops, add your name to our waitlist. We will email you when the next workshops are scheduled: join the workshop waitlist.
Workshops run for 2 hours, starting with a 15 minute introduction on the theory and then two 45 minutes practical training sessions. The cost is $90 for 2 hours.
Prerequisites: any dog who is friendly with people and other dogs can join.

Your trainer is: Barbara
In 2015 Barbara completed her Diploma in Canine Behaviour Science and Technology at the Companion Animal Sciences Institute in Canada. Your trainer is: Barbara In 2015 Barbara completed her Diploma in Canine Behaviour Science and Technology at the Companion Animal Sciences Institute in Canada.
Barbara has been involved in dog training for the last 20 years and has completed her Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services with the Delta Society in 2007 and is a professional member of the Delta Institute.
She competes in the dog sport of Agility and Rally O and Shellbe (a German short-haired pointer) competes on Master level in Agility and Rally O. Chillax, one of Shellbe’s puppies, competes in Rally O and got his Rally Novice title in October 2019. He is just starting out in Agility.
